I have shopped for items using the Internet since 2001 and I always found it to be a time-consuming effort. I was usually unable to quickly find “recommended” products. It didn’t matter whether I was shopping for something simple or relatively expensive, my experience was, in many instances, more trouble than it was worth. I wanted to develop a website where you can quickly find the item or store that you’re looking for and, with just a few clicks, with some assurance from me that the product is worth your purchase, shop in “the QwikMall” from home.
I’ve shopped for photography and cameras, golfing and golfing equipment, books, computers, DVDs and CDs, and many different types of electronics. In fact, electronics was my career field when I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1964, 12 days after graduating from Burbank High School, in Burbank, California (Go Bulldogs!!). In 1970, I was chosen by the Air Force to obtain my undergrad degree in accounting, then I was commissioned in 1972, earned my MBA in 1977, and I spent the next 16 years in the accounting and finance, cost analysis, and management analysis career fields. I retired from active duty after 24 years and one month of military service in 1988, and then taught accounting at Allan Hancock Community College from 1989 to my retirement from Hancock in 2004. I currently reside in the beautiful hill country of Prescott, Arizona.
